The Alan Youn Bootstrap Award honors high school students from Confluence, Colfax, and Placer High Schools who have demonstrated exceptional perseverance in overcoming significant challenges to earn their diploma. Nominated by teachers and school counselors, these students embody resilience, determination, and the true spirit of “pulling themselves up by their bootstraps.” This award is not based on GPA or future education plans, but on personal strength and the will to succeed against the odds.

- RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening - RYLA is an intense and incredibly challenging program, sponsored by California and Nevada Rotary Districts 5180 and 5190, and has been designed to engender passion, resilience, determination, mental toughness, gratitude, and compassion. - REGL - Rotary Eight Grade Leadership Program - Rotary District 5190 is pleased to offer the Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership Program (REGL), a special youth leadership program to selected 8th-grade students. Click on the link above to the REGL website.
- Annual Speech Contest - Every Year our club offers high school students an opportunity to participate in a Speech Contest. Information is available through the school/counselor's offices at Colfax, Confluence and Placer High schools.
